Help us keep Halftone News accurate. If you spot an error in any article, please report it and we will investigate promptly.
Report a correction
To report a factual error or request a correction, email us with the following information:
- Article URL
- Headline and publish date (if available)
- A clear description of the alleged error
- Suggested correction and supporting sources or links
- Your contact email (optional — we may follow up for clarification)
Email corrections to corrections@halftone.news. If you prefer, use our contact form and include "Correction" in the subject line.
Correction policy
Halftone News treats accuracy seriously. We will investigate reported errors and where appropriate publish corrections or clarifications that are visible on the original article page and noted in our corrections log.
We will add an editor's note to the article explaining what changed and why.
We may add context or additional sourcing without changing the published text, when appropriate.
Corrections are recorded in the article's metadata and are visible to readers.
Typical timeline
- Acknowledgement of receipt: within 48 business hours.
- Initial review: 3–7 business days (varies by complexity).
- Correction or clarification published: typically within 7–14 business days.
Examples
- Minor factual error (e.g., incorrect number): we add an editor's note and correct the text.
- Substantive error affecting interpretation: we correct the article, add an editor's note, and notify subscribers if relevant.
